I need to break up with my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years. We moved in together about 2 1/2 years ago and about a year ago moved across the country for work. In august he decided to buy a house and so I followed. I have made friends and started to build a life here for myself while he just sits at home every day playing Xbox. Instead of waiting for him to want to do something I started to go out and do what I wanted to do. It has put a major strain on our relationship. Every day we are growing farther and farther apart. I have expressed to him many times that things need to change if I am going to stay in this relationship, but nothing ever does. A month ago I gave him an ultimatum, if he did not start showing interest in me I would leave. He has no one here to help him and his family lives across the country. He cannot afford the house on his own and I cannot afford to move out. What should I do??? I dont hate him and I dont wish ill of him, but I cannot do this anymore.
