Will my boyfriend likely go to jail?

I wouldn't worry too much. Of course there is always the risk that he will get a judge that is harsh or wants to make a point, but with no criminal back ground and a steady job, he will most likely get probation and fines. If he screws up again, screws up his probation or doesn't make payments on the fines, then yes he would go to jail. When I was 15 my friends were drinking and I wasn't so I drove everyone home. The rear taillight of my boyfriends truck was out and I got pulled over. Instead of being up front, I lied and said I didn't have my license on me but gave them information of one of my friends who had a license. I got charge with false information to a police officer. When I went to court the judge acted as if she was sending me to jail and scared me straight. I didn't go though, I had community service, probation and fines. Just tell him to be honest, apologetic and for goodness sakes, learn from his stupidity!! Good luck!
