My tongue ring is tilted back, will I still be able to play with it when the swelling goes down?

I got my tongue pierced (yes it was in a shop, where they have licenses) 2 days ago, and the guy pierced it so that the top ball is tilted toward the back of my tongue a little so it won't knock against my teeth and cause enamel erosion etc... I'm not having any difficulty talking or anything, in fact my aunt (who I live with) hasn't noticed that i got it, so I don't think it's too swollen, but I cant "play with it". like just stick the ball (top or bottom ball) out between my lips etc. will I be able to later?
