Why do white conservatives love Clarence Thomas when most Blacks hate him?

I'm white for one. Clarance Thomas is the biggest hypocrite ever. He got through law school on affirmative action, then once on the court, he denounces it. I don't care whether you are for or against something, but be consistent. Don't take it when it benefits you and decry it when it benefits someone else.
